Wymagania:

  • A doctoral degree in one of the sciences, including chemical sciences, physical sciences, material engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines obtained not earlier than 7 years before employment start date.
  • Evidence of scientific achievements in chemical sciences, physical sciences, materials engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines as demonstrated by publications in international, peer-reviewed journals, internships, fellowships, grants, awards, or participation in workshops/conferences/ projects, etc.),
  • Experience in laboratory work with 3D printing, polymers, composites, molecular spectroscopy methods for surface studies, or mechanical testing.
  • Experience in acquiring, managing, or implementing research projects is welcome.
  • Good English speaking and writing skills.
  • A strong commitment to scientific research, effective teamwork, and adherence to generally accepted ethical standards is essential.

Opis zadań:

The post-doc will participate in implementing the NCN OPUS-25 project (ID. No. 2023/49/B/ST4/00077, 3D-printed bone implants – Exploring the relationship between implants’ chemical and spatial structure and their surface, mechanical, osteogenic, and anticancer properties.).

The duties associated with the designated position will include:

  • the synthesis of metallic nanostructures (both bare and surface-functionalized),
  • materials optimization for the process of creating a three-dimensional model of bone scaffolds,
  • the process of creating a three-dimensional model of bone scaffolds involving the designing and then printing of the model,
  • the spectroscopic analysis of surfaces of materials (both bare and functionalized) and synthetic bone scaffolds,
  • the evaluation of wear of materials (both bare and functionalized) and synthetic bone scaffolds,
  • data analysis and discussion,
  • manuscripts and reports writing,
  • monthly report on the progress of research and scientific work.

Warunki zatrudnienia:

  • The position is a full-time, fixed-term appointment, beginning on July 15, 2025, and continuing until Jun’30 2027 (23 months) with the possibility of extension for another 7 months. The primary place of work is the research grant’s location.
  • Salary around PLN 9 750 gross per month.

A committee chaired by the project director will select the postdoctoral fellow based on submitted documents and an interview.

 Documents required:

  • An application addressed to the Rector of the AGH University of Krakow.
  • The doctoral diploma or a certified copy of the doctoral diploma, or a resolution on awarding the doctoral degree, or another document attesting to the conferral of the doctoral degree.
  • A personal questionnaire/curriculum vitae consisting of a list of scientific publications and a list of scientific and organizational achievements.
  • A statement indicating that the AGH University of Krakow will be the only place of employment if hired.
  • It would be beneficial for the candidate to have an opinion from a person holding the academic title of professor or a postdoctoral degree on their scientific achievements in one or more of the following fields: chemical sciences, physical sciences, material engineering, chemical engineering, or biomedical engineering.
  • A statement of compliance, with Article 113 of the Law of July 20, 2018. Under the provisions outlined in the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2023, item 742, as amended).
